Who is Ariana, the Street Diva? This 18 year old, R&B/HipHop, singer/songwriter, and teen queen diva was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania by way of Ozark, Alabama. She was born to two very proud parents, her mother, Shannon, and her father, Willie Lee Stewart. Ariana has lived a nomadic life, traveling from PA, to Alabama, and now settling in Florida. At the age of 5, Ariana’s musical talents surfaced when her mother would sing gospel songs and Ariana would sing them back. However, Ariana the songwriter was born on September 11, 2001, when she was just 12 years old. Ariana’s heart went out to the victims of the terrorist attack and she was compelled to compose and dedicate a song she would entitle STRIFE (A brighter day is coming). This song later went on to win awards and Ariana continued to foster her gift for the next four years; singing in her school choir, entering talent shows, and winning songwriting competitions. Then on Valentine’s Day, 2006, Ariana’s father received a call from entertainment mogul, Maurice Starr. Mr. Starr is known for discovering, producing, promoting, and writing hit songs for “NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK”, “NEW EDITION”, and more. He agreed to help as a consultant, “Ariana is my next big discovery and history is about to be continued….another just like the others!” Ariana has recently placed a song with a group signed to Geffen Records, and has written and submitted songs for the sophomore project of Bad Boy Records recording artist, B5. She has co-written songs with members of the Quad City DJ’s and Lords of the Underground, and collaborated with writers for MONICA, J-Lo, and Mary J Blige. She has also collaborated as an artist with Slim from 112, and choreographed her own dance routines for songs that she has written. Ariana is a musical triple threat; singing ballads, club bangers, and raps. Her vocal range and powerful singing draws comparisons to songstresses Beyonce and Toni Braxton, while her club bangers remind listeners of Missy Elliot and Ciara. With the guidance of her loving parents and a strong faith in GOD, Ariana is poised to “CATWALK” onto the music scene. So who is Ariana?
